Facebook’s new timeline looks pretty cool, and with the new cover image featured in Timeline, we’ve been given a whole pot of screen real estate to customise.
If you want to hack the new cover image for Facebook to make your timeline look great, here’s what you need to know.
Cover image dimensions:
- Dimensions: 851x315px
Profile picture:
- Dimensions: 133x92px
- White border: 4px
- Corner: 2px
- Inset: 25px from the left
Facebook also puts a slightly transparent 1px inner border around your cover image, including the profile picture. This border will overlap your cover photo so keep this in mind if you have elements near the edges of your image.
Also, Facebook’s image compression means you’ll lose finer details in your images so keep it simple.
